In light of the growing difficulties technology presents to parents raising children in the fear and admonition of the Lord, we want to highlight two resources this month. First is the book iParent by Don Pearson which addresses the magnitude and implications of today’s technological trends. In it, Pearson shows how these trends have fostered extended adolescence, the blurring of gender, and a host of other issues that young people deal with today. In short, his book constitutes an appeal to parents to understand how technology affects the soul of your child and to take the necessary steps to lovingly guard them from such hazards.
The other resource is God’s Technology, by David Murray.
Both of these resources will help you use God’s good gift of technology in a God-glorifying way!
