Psalm 42 is a lament psalm - there is a way to suffer well

1.  A time of drought - vs. 1-5
      Physical - thirst
      Spiritual - a longing for God
2.  A time of drowning - vs. 6-11
      Adversity
3.  The psalmist's response
      A.  Look to God
      B.  Preach to your soul
            Remember:
              Who God is
              God is sovereigh
              His steadfast love
            Hope
              In God, not in yourself
