Thanksgiving Service

7 commands for the people of God

1.   Shout joyfully to the Lord all the earth
2.   Serve the Lord with gladness
   .       Serve = worship
   .            How is your heart during the day?  Your service at church?   Is your heart worshipful?
3.   Come before Him
   .       Recognize the blessing of being able to come and worship
4.   Know that the Lord Himself is God
   .        Our worship is to be intelligent and exclusive
   .        We do not worship a God Who is unknown or unknowable
   .                Jehovah – John 14:6
   .                Creator
   .                Redeemer – Shepherd
   .                We are His people – John 10:7-16
5.   Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and praise
   .       It matters how we come to God.  It matters how we live our daily lives.  
6.   Give thanks to Him
   .       It matters how we worship God. 
7.   Bless His name
   .        The Lord is good – moral value
   .        His lovingkindness is everlasting
   .        His faithfulness to all generations

Questions:
1.  Has God been good in the past?
2.  Has God been loving?
3.  Has He seen you through difficult times?

Then He will do it for whatever may come
